TLC
Pads has been in business since the Spring of 2001 and is growing in
popularity. I feel that this is because:
-
reasonable prices are a welcome and necessary thing
-
good customer service is a priority for me and
-
customer satisfaction is always my #1 goal.

A
little bit about me: I was a stay-home Mom,
home-schooling
our 3 sons from
1993 'til 2003, when they began to attend a local high-school
in order to compete on the swim-team there. All 3
excelled there and went on to college in Iowa, competing for their
college's swim-team, where they continue to make us
proud, academically as well as athletically. Our oldest
son graduated in 2009 with Comp-sci/Math majors, and our twins
graduate in 2010 with an Art/Spanish major/minor for the
older twin, and a Business
major for the younger.
I have taught Lamaze Childbirth classes since 1989 and
enjoy that greatly.
The fall of 2005 marked my own return
to college. I earned my
Assoc-in-Arts degree in 1983, but suspended my
schooling in order to stay home to raise our sons.
My dream is to become a (paid) teacher at
last, teaching German and French and/or possibly Mathematics.
I have finally, December 2009, completed my studies as
well, earning top marks along the way. I'm very
proud of that accomplishment, as it's not easy to get a
40+ year old brain to re-learn two foreign languages
simultaneously. It nearly made me crazy (crazier?)

My goal in making
menstrual pads is not only to offer
something more natural and
better-for-your-body, but to keep
the pads affordable for the single-income family, as
we've been that for two decades now. As a frugal person
myself, I strive to keep my prices low, yet
maintain a high-quality and well-constructed item.
A
"bargain"
is
not a bargain
if you have to
replace it
frequently, so
I pay close
attention to
quality.
I think you will
find that the pads
I make are soft, comfortable, well-made, and they work
beautifully.
I found cloth pads and The Keeper
(or Mooncup) to be very helpful in reducing the horrid
menstrual discomfort that I suffered with every cycle. Debilitating
cramps are a thing of the past for me, now that I've
abandoned disposable products.
I
also have added the hair-friendly accessories (found on
the services
page) because they were requested by some very dear
friends of mine, and all of those products are items I
personally have used for years and they have "stood
the test of time" for me.
With the dry,
dry winters in Idaho, my family's skin has been quite
dry every winter. For several years I've made soap --
cold-process, with oils and sodium hydroxide, the
old-fashioned way. My family always uses that soap
during the winter, because the handmade soap really
helps with dryness, since it's not as harsh as store-bought
soaps (which are more detergent than soap).
Consequently, I've been thinking about adding
homemade, handmade soaps to the lineup here, so be
looking for that. It may be a seasonal thing
I offer, but I'll keep you posted on the progress!
I look forward to serving you, and thank you for visiting my site.
Very
sincerely,
Lisa Janey
